Manfred Von Richthofen

Manfred Von Richthofen

My name is Manfred Albrecht Freiherr Von Richthofen.

I was born on May 2nd, 1892 in Kleinburg, Germany. But I grew up in Swindica, Poland. My siblings names were Lothar, Bolko, and Llse. My parents names were Albrecht Phillip Karl Julius Freiherr Von Richthofen and Kunigunde Hildegard Marie Luise Elisabeth Freifrau Von Richthofen. As a child, I was smart, athletic, and enjoyed hunting, gymnastics, and horseback riding. At the age of eleven I started cadet training to be in the German Imperial Military.

Later on in life, I attended Uhlan Cavalry and became a cavalry officer. But I envied the men who flew fighter and reconnaissance planes. So I decided to become an observer in a twin engine bomber. I became famous when I became a fighter pilot in World War I. I shot down a total of 80 enemy fighter and reconnaissance planes, and many pilots. Including Lanoe Hawker the daring British ace. I also obtained the nickname The Red Baron, or Der Rote Baron in German. I became even more famous in 2009, when a movie called The Red Baron was made about me, staring Matthias Schweighöfer. I died on Morlan Court Ridge, France on April 21, 1918 from a single 303 bullet that went through my chest. I was 24 years old. I will always be remembered as the greatest fighter pilot of World War I and my battle tactics will be used for years to come. I am Manfred Von Richthofen.
